On this, the largest continent, a war has been raging between two countries for hundreds of years. In the north of the continent lies the Kislev Empire, in the south lies the desert kingdom of Aveh. The war has gone on for so long that the people have forgotten the cause, knowing only the pointless circle of hostility and tragedy. | Auf der Nordhalbkugel unserer Welt liegt der größte Kontinent, Ignis. Seit Langem schon tobt dort zwi- schen zwei Ländern ein unerbitt- licher Krieg: Es sind dies im Norden das Kaiser- reich Kislew und im Süden das Wüstenkönigreich Aw. Im Laufe der Jahrhunderte vergaßen die Menschen den Grund des Krieges und kennen seither nur den ewigen Teufelskreis der Feindschaft. |
| 0614-004 | 慢性的かつ惰性的な戦はやがて 大きな變化をむかえることとなった。 太古文明人の遺跡から発掘される道駒、 兵器の類が、この世界の文化の保存を司る 『教会』によって改修されたからであった。 両国はこぞってこれら遺跡を発掘、 『教会』に改修させ、 おのが戦力としていった。 | The chronic war obsession was soon to encounter a devastating change. This was due to the ‚Ethos‘, an institution that preserves our world’s culture, repairing tools and weapons excavated from the ruins of an ancient civilization. At once both countries excavated these ruins, and had the ‚Ethos‘ repair the discoveries, in order to increase their military power. | Doch die Kriegslust unterlag schon bald einem verheerenden Wandel. Ursache für diesen Wandel war die Kirche, die in ihrer Funktion als Hüterin der Kultur und des Wissens unserer Welt Fundstücke aus archä- ologischen Ausgrabungen repariert. Beide Reiche erforschten die Ruinen, ließen die Kirche die ge- fundenen Waffen reparieren und stärkten so ihre Streitmächte. |

The outcome of the battles between the two countries was no longer determined by man-to-man combat, but by ‚Gears‘ – giant humanoid fighting machines – that were obtained from deep within the ruins. | Die Art der Kriegsführung hat sich aufgrund dieser Waffen nachhaltig verändert. Schlachten wurden nicht länger von Fußsoldaten entschieden, sondern durch den Einsatz von „Gears“ – riesigen humanoiden Kampfmaschinen – die man aus den tiefsten Ebenen der Ruinen geborgen hatte. |
| 0614-006 | 一進一退を繰り返していた両国間の戦況は、 やがてキスレブの優位となった。 これは埋没する遺跡資源の量に大きな差が あったことが最大の原因であった。 そんなおり、イグニスの地に突如 謎の軍事組織が出現した。 組織の名はゲブラー。 ゲブラーはアヴェとの接触をはかった。 | Eventually, after continuous swings in the state of the war, Kislev gained the upper hand. The major factor behind this lay in the enormous difference in the amount of resources buried within their ruins. But suddenly a mysterious military force appeared in the continent of Ignas. Called ‚Gebler‘, this force decided to make contact with Aveh. | Lange schien die Kriegslage fest- gefahren, als Kislew eines Tages den Durchbruch erzielen konnte. Der Grund dafür lag vor allem darin, dass in den Ruinen von Kislew deutlich mehr Waffen aufzufinden waren. Doch plötzlich erschien eine mysteriöse Streitkraft auf dem Kontinent Ignis. Diese sogenannten „Gebura“ schlossen sich Aw an. |
| 0614-007 | 軍事組織ゲブラーの助勢を得たアヴェは、 劣勢に追い込まれていた戦局を 五分にまで回復させた。 勢いに乗ったアヴェは、キスレブの領有を 次々と奪い、なおその侵攻の手を ゆるめることはなかった。 | With the assistance of this Gebler military force, Aveh was able to recover from being hopelessly out- numbered to being back on an even standing with Kislev. Then, taking further advantage of its newly gained momentum, Aveh started to capture one territory after another from Kislev, showing no indication of slowing down in their invasion campaign. | Mithilfe der Gebura konnte das zahlenmäßig unterlegene Aw der Macht Kislews Paroli bieten. Aw konnte seinen neu gewonnenen Schwung in der Folge auch aus- nutzen, um ein Gebiet nach dem an- deren von Kislew zurückzuerobern. Bis zum heutigen Tage dauern die Invasionsfeldzüge von Aw an, ohne dass dabei ein Ende absehbar wäre. |
